Greetings!

Liberia . . . sweet land of Liberty, you will rise, you will shine, you will prosper in Africa! Hallelujah . . . this is a song that is sung nationwide over the airwaves, in buses and taxis for the past 5 or 6 yrs. It is coming to pass bit by bit through the Goodness of God and the hands of many. Recently Christiana, my neice Laurie and I witnessed the progress on our whirlwind visit to Monrovia. Your support and prayers uplifted me and for that I am grateful. Our goals were accomplished. Ama was able to reconnect in very genuine ways with her family and her country. Her emotional cup is full. [ click here ] to view her photos.

Secondly, to meet and co-ordinate with pastors, prayer warriors, people in government, businessmen and women to build a team. The focus of this community of leaders will be to facilitate nation-wide discussions on Reconciliation and Forgiveness.

Investigation by Liberia's Truth and Reconciliation Commission of crimes during the long Civil War is ongoing through June 2009. For some time now, I've felt Immaculée Ilibagiza's extraordinary story needed to be shared with the people of Liberia. Liberians have great respect for the Rwandan journey. When I shared this vision with the team and on very personal levels, they were deeply impacted with Immaculée's message of forgivness and agreed as to it's significance. So I began researching the possibility . . . .helping to transform the broken hearted to wholeness and healing. In June, Bishop T. Edward Kofi and I met with Cardinal Peter Turkson of West Africa and a team called Renewal Ministries in Michigan. Together we discussed teaching these concepts. They have excellent material and are excited about participating. On my visit with Monsignor Andrew Karnley in Monrovia, we garnered the necessary formal invitation. The wheels are in motion now for kickoff!

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah.43:16, 18-19.

Most Gratefully
