Immaculee shares this story in Left To Tell: "A 92 year-old lady put her arms around me and hugged me tightly. She was so emotional that she was barely able to speak, but she found her voice. I'll never forget her words: 'I thought it was too late for me to forgive. I've been waiting to hear someone say what you did--I had to know that it was possible to forgive the unforgivable. I am at peace now.'
